Entering its eighth year, Sanur Village Festival has carved out a name as a diverse, rich and community-based annual gathering involving residents, the private sector and communities in the Sanur area.
This year’s festival, running from Sept. 24-28, would feature new activities to support the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in early October. The festival will include cleaning of several major tourist destinations, beach clean ups, turtle conservation and release, coral reef conservation and tree planting.
The routine agenda will remain the highlight of the festival. This consists of art performances, music concerts, a food bazaar, Balinese culinary challenge, Sanur open golf tournament, Jukung (traditional boat) competition, art parade, marine sports, cultural dialogue and environmental activities, all of which will be presented at the festival themed “Segara Giri,” literarily “Ocean and Mountain”.
The location for the festival would be at the Inna Grand Bali Beach Hotel in Sanur.
Prior to the festival, a number of events will be organized, including the Sanur Auto Festival and Sanur Kite Festival, both to be held in August.
